The joys of Spring!!

It appears that Spring is well and truly upon us here in the Gulf of Thailand.

The sun is shining and the temperature is over 30°C on a daily basis.

In additional to the glorious weather, diving conditions have suddenly changed from the murky monsoon-related conditions over the past few months to spectacularly clear water at most of the popular dives sites such as Sail Rock.

The warmer, clearer water has not only brought about excellent diving and snorkelling conditions, it has also brought with it the first Whale Sharks of the season, with two individuals being seen at Sail Rock in the past few days!

Hopefully 2012 will prove to be a good Whale Shark year, not only for the unforgettable experience it provides, but also for our ongoing quest for information on these remarkable animals via contributions to the Ecocean Whale Shark Project.
