The sad tale of a very sick Whale Shark...

This recent encounter with a very sick Whale Shark came to me via the Ecocean Whale Shark Project.

This Whale Shark was found off by a local fisherman who brought it back, barely alive, at the request of the Thai Navy.

February 19th 2011 was a rather historic day for Koh Phangan's diving community, and it was nothing to do with my 40th birthday...!!
